Antabuse side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from IRELAND on Dec 11, 2007. Male patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: headache What is  headache, hypoaesthesia, neuropathy peripheral, optic neuropathy, paraesthesia, visual acuity reduced. Antabuse dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM, EZETIMIBE, VENLAFAXINE, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alcohol intolerance, delusion, disturbance in attention, dyspnoea, flushing, hallucination, auditory, headache What is  headache, insomnia, logorrhoea. Antabuse dosage: 500 MG/DAY, ORAL, 1500 MG/DAY; ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ALCOHOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
