Antabuse side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on Nov 30, 2007. Male patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with alcoholism What is  alcoholism and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradyphrenia, cerebral atrophy, coma, delirium, disorientation, encephalopathy, grand mal convulsion, oxygen saturation decreased, pneumonia aspiration. Antabuse dosage: 250 MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FOSAMPRENAVIR, TENOFOVIR, EMTRICITABINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, blood alcohol increased, blood lactic acid increased, coagulopathy, encephalopathy, foetor hepaticus, haemodialysis, hypotension, oedema due to hepatic disease. Antabuse dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
