Antabuse side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from GERMANY on Feb 06, 2007. Male patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with alcoholism  and was treated with Antabuse. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, blood alcohol increased, blood lactic acid increased, coagulopathy, encephalopathy, foetor hepaticus, haemodialysis, hypotension, oedema due to hepatic disease. Antabuse dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, blood alcohol increased, encephalopathy, haemodialysis, hepatomegaly, hypotension, renal failure, thrombocytopenia. Antabuse dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
