Anafranil Side Effects Report #4664986-2
Anafranil side effect was reported by a Health Professional from on May 03, 2005. Female patient, 87 years of age, was diagnosed with depression , anorexia and was treated with Anafranil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, convulsion, depressed level of consciousness, multi-organ failure. Anafranil dosage: 25 MG, QD, IV. During the same period patient was treated with GASTER, MAXIPIME. Patient died on 04/04/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, brain oedema, convulsion, disseminated intravascular coagulation, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, heat stroke, loss of consciousness, multi-organ failure, muscle spasms. Anafranil dosage: 225 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERDAL, TRICYCLIC ANTIDEPRESSANT. Patient died on 07/15/2003.

Anafranil dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LUDIOMIL, TRYPTANOL, AMOXAPINE, TOLEDOMIN. Patient died on 12/03/2002.
