Anafranil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on May 21, 2003. Female patient, 87 years of age, was diagnosed with major depression and was treated with Anafranil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, delirium, depressed level of consciousness, disorientation, hallucination, visual, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, phonological disorder, salivary hypersecretion. Anafranil dosage: 75 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with DRAGANON, GRAMALIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 87 years of age, was diagnosed with depression What is  depression, anorexia and was treated with Anafranil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, convulsion, depressed level of consciousness, multi-organ failure. Anafranil dosage: 25 MG, QD, IV. During the same period patient was treated with GASTER, MAXIPIME. Patient died on 04/04/2005.

Anafranil dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EPADEL, FOIPAN, GASMOTIN, TAGAMET, URSO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
