Ampicillin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Apr 27, 2007. Female patient, 39 years of age, was diagnosed with meningoencephalitis bacterial and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: stevens-johnson syndrome. Ampicillin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENYTOIN, FUROSEMIDE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, weighting 20.72 lb, was diagnosed with blood culture positive and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, hypotension, myocarditis, pain , stevens-johnson syndrome, tachycardia, tachypnoea. Ampicillin dosage: 500MG Q6H IV. Patient died on 02/12/2007.
