Ampicillin side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Nov 13, 2006. Male patient, 86 years of age, was diagnosed with infection
and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium difficile colitis, occult blood positive. Ampicillin dosage: unknown. and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium difficile colitis, occult blood positive. Ampicillin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METRONIDAZOLE, PIPERACILLIN W, CEFPIROME, IMIPENEM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
