Ampicillin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Apr 01, 2005. Female patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with postoperative care and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, hepatotoxicity, prothrombin time prolonged. Ampicillin dosage: unknown. Patient recovered.

Ampicillin side effect was reported by a Physician from TURKEY on May 12, 2006. Male patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with pharyngolaryngeal pain and was treated with Ampicillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholestasis, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis toxic, hepatotoxicity, lymphadenopathy. Ampicillin dosage: 750 MG;2X A DAY. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
