Amphotericin Side Effects Report #5303774-0
Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 19, 2007. Female patient, 41 years of age, weighting 165.3 lb, was diagnosed with meningitis cryptococcal and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, cardiac arrest , coronary artery aneurysm, hyperkalaemia, hypotension, intravascular haemolysis, metabolic acidosis, multi-organ failure, myocardial ischaemia. Amphotericin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chest pain , disseminated intravascular coagulation, hyperkalaemia, multi-organ failure, renal failure acute, shock. Amphotericin dosage: 5 MG /KG. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, FLUCYTOSINE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: debridement, disease progression, haemorrhage, hepatectomy, hepatic necrosis, multi-organ failure, peritonitis. Amphotericin dosage: 10 MG/KG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with CASPOFUNGIN, DEFERASIROX. Patient died.
