Amphotericin Side Effects Report #5345272-4
Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on May 15, 2007. Female patient, 41 years of age, weighting 165.3 lb, was diagnosed with meningitis cryptococcal and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adrenal cortex necrosis, blood bicarbonate decreased, blood calcium decreased, blood phosphorus increased, blood sodium decreased, cardiac arrest , cardiotoxicity, chest pain , continuous haemodiafiltration. Amphotericin dosage: (5 MG/KG/DAY INTRAVENOUS DRIP). During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, cardiac arrest , chest pain , coronary artery aneurysm, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hyperkalaemia, hypotension, intravascular haemolysis. Amphotericin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, FLUCYTOSINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood pressure decreased, cardiac arrest , chest pain , disseminated intravascular coagulation, haemorrhagic infarction. Amphotericin dosage: 5 MG /KG. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, FLUCYTOSINE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, chest pain , disseminated intravascular coagulation, hyperkalaemia, multi-organ failure, renal failure acute, shock. Amphotericin dosage: 5 MG /KG. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, FLUCYTOSINE. Patient died.

Female patient, 47 years of age, weighting 209.4 lb, was diagnosed with acute pulmonary histoplasmosis and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chest pain , dyspnoea, headache , hyperhidrosis, paraesthesia. Amphotericin dosage: 275 MG IV BOLUS. Patient recovered.
