Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Feb 23, 2009. Male patient, 61 years of age, weighting 119.0 lb, was diagnosed with histoplasmosis and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure congestive, cardiomegaly, creatinine renal clearance decreased, hypokalaemia, orthostatic hypotension, weight increased. Amphotericin dosage: 1.0 MG TO 50 MG (DISSOLVED IN 500 ML TO 1,000 ML OF 5% DEXTROSE IN WATER,527MG 1250MG. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCORTISONE, HEPARIN, DIPHENHYDRAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, cardiac failure congestive, cardiogenic shock, ischaemia, mental status changes, nausea , respiratory failure, retching. Amphotericin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCYTOSINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
