Amphotericin Side Effects Report #5303774-0
Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Apr 19, 2007. Female patient, 41 years of age, weighting 165.3 lb, was diagnosed with meningitis cryptococcal and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, cardiac arrest , coronary artery aneurysm, hyperkalaemia, hypotension, intravascular haemolysis, metabolic acidosis, multi-organ failure, myocardial ischaemia. Amphotericin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adrenal cortex necrosis, blood bicarbonate decreased, blood calcium decreased, blood phosphorus increased, blood sodium decreased, cardiac arrest , cardiotoxicity, chest pain , continuous haemodiafiltration. Amphotericin dosage: (5 MG/KG/DAY INTRAVENOUS DRIP). During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

During the same period patient was treated with VORICONAZOLE, CASPOFUNGIN, CILASTATIN W, CYCLOSPORINE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, PROPOFOL, NADROPARIN. Patient died.
