Amphotericin Side Effects Report #5503612-7
Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Physician from SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO on Oct 18, 2007. Male patient, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with pneumonia
and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood albumin decreased, blood bilirubin increased, blood glucose increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase decreased, blood urea increased, bone marrow failure, disease progression, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Amphotericin dosage: (100 MG QD INTRAVENOUS, (100 MG TID INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, IMIPENEM, TEICOPLANIN, NEUPOGEN, ACYCLOVIR, ETOPOSIDE, CYTARABINE. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased. Amphotericin dosage: 450MG EVERY DAY IV. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 58 years of age, weighting 160.9 lb, was diagnosed with blastomycosis and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood urea increased, cardiac failure congestive, cardiomegaly, creatinine renal clearance decreased, weight increased. Amphotericin dosage: 2,025, 50 MG TO 75 MG DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCORTISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
