Amphotericin side effect was reported by a Physician from CHINA on Mar 29, 2006. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with sepsis  and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, flushing, oedema, oliguria, rash , respiratory distress. Amphotericin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CILASTATIN AND IMIPENEM, CANCIDAS. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 41 years of age, was diagnosed with meningitis cryptococcal and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: accidental overdose, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood pressure decreased, cardiac arrest , chest pain , disseminated intravascular coagulation, haemorrhagic infarction. Amphotericin dosage: 5 MG /KG. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, FLUCYTOSINE. Patient died.

Female patient, child 5 years of age, was diagnosed with febrile neutropenia and was treated with Amphotericin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, bilirubin conjugated increased, blood albumin decreased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, blood creatinine increased, blood culture positive, blood phosphorus increased. Amphotericin dosage: 3.0 MG/KG DAILY, IV. During the same period patient was treated with ACETAMINOPHEN, ANTILYMPHOCYTE IMMUNOGLOBULIN, BLOOD CELLS, BLOOD CELLS, BLOOD CELLS, CASPOFUNGIN ACETATE, CASPOFUNGIN ACETATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, aspergillosis, bilirubin conjugated increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood bilirubin increased, condition aggravated, dyspepsia, dysphagia. Amphotericin dosage: (50 MG 1X/24 HOURS INTRAVENOUS (NOT OTHERWISE SPECIFIED)). During the same period patient was treated with MEROPENEM, AMIKACIN, AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient recovered.
