Amikacin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 15, 2005. Female patient, 39 years of age, weighting 111.0 lb, was diagnosed with mycobacterium avium complex infection and was treated with Amikacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: deafness, ear discomfort, neuropathy, ototoxicity. Amikacin dosage: 475 MG IV Q 12 H. During the same period patient was treated with AZITHROMIN, AZITHROMYCIN, FENTANYL, FLUCONAZOLE, LEVOFLOXACIN, ONDANSETRON, GABAPENTIN, NALOXONE. Patient recovered.
