Amikacin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on Sept 09, 2003. Female patient was diagnosed with urinary tract infection What is  urinary tract infection and was treated with Amikacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: azotaemia, cardiac failure congestive, mental status changes, renal failure acute. Amikacin dosage: 1000 MILLIGRAM , QD, INTRAVENOUS (NOS). During the same period patient was treated with LORAZEPAM, FOLIC ACID, LANSOPRAZOLE, NEPHRO TUBE FEED, TYLENOL, LEXAPRO, ASPIRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Amikacin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 26, 2008. Male patient, 46 years of age, weighting 297.6 lb, was diagnosed with bacteraemia, pneumonia What is  pneumonia and was treated with Amikacin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute prerenal failure, bacteraemia, cardiac failure congestive, enterococcal infection, eosinophil count increased, fluid overload, glomerulonephritis, haematuria. Amikacin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COLISTIN SULPHATE, VANCOMYCIN, ZOSYN. Patient recovered.
