Amifostine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Oct 31, 2005. Male patient, weighting 141.5 lb, was diagnosed with amyloidosis and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure immeasurable, cardio-respiratory arrest, hypotension, loss of consciousness, respiration abnormal, vision blurred. Amifostine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Amifostine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 28, 2006. Male patient, 56 years of age, weighting 103.6 lb, was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, hypotension, infection What is  infection, loss of consciousness, lung infiltration. Amifostine dosage: 500MG IN 2.9ML NS DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with CELEXA, ADVAIR DISKUS, HYDROMORPHONE, METHADONE, NEURONTIN, TRAZODONE, ZYPREXA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
