Amifostine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from on Jan 28, 2005. Male patient, 56 years of age, weighting 251.0 lb, was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fatigue, rash erythematous, rash pruritic. Amifostine dosage: 500MG SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CISPLATIN, ALOXI, MANNITOL, EMEND. Patient recovered.

Female patient, weighting 108.2 lb, was diagnosed with amyloidosis and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , dizziness , fatigue, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hypotension, infection , melaena, nausea , oesophagitis. Amifostine dosage: 2040 MG. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
