Amifostine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 18, 2006. Female patient, 68 years of age, weighting 172.8 lb, was diagnosed with prophylaxis, radiation mucositis and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: body temperature increased, contusion, erythema, induration, injection site pain, skin discolouration, swelling, white blood cell count decreased. Amifostine dosage: 500 MG ONCE SQ. Patient recovered.

Amifostine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 18, 2005. Male patient, 46 years of age, weighting 129.0 lb, was diagnosed with dry mouth, neoplasm malignant and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, rash macular, skin reaction. Amifostine dosage: 500 MG SQ DAILY M-T PRIOR TO RT SIX DOSES SINCE 11/09/05. During the same period patient was treated with COMPAZINE, REGLAN. Patient recovered.
