Amifostine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on May 27, 2005. Male patient, weighting 204.6 lb, was diagnosed with amyloidosis and was treated with Amifostine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, bundle branch block left, chest pain , dehydration, dizziness , febrile neutropenia, metabolic disorder , neuropathy peripheral, orthostatic hypotension. Amifostine dosage: 740 MG/M2 ON DAY -2 FOR 5 MINUITES. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN, COLACE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , dizziness , fatigue, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hypotension, infection , melaena, nausea , oesophagitis. Amifostine dosage: 2040 MG. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Amifostine dosage: 740 MG/M2 ON DAY -2 FOR 5 MINUTES. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN, ALLEGRA, AMITRIPTYLINE, ANUSOL HC, COLACE, COMPZINE, FLONASE, DYHYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE. Patient recovered.
