Amarel side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 27, 2005. Female patient, 83 years of age, weighting 110.2 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, prophylaxis, arrhythmia  and was treated with Amarel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cerebrovascular accident, face injury, fall , hypoglycaemia. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIAMICRON, COVERSYL, KARDEGIC, CORDARONE, VASTAREL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, essential hypertension, dysthymic disorder and was treated with Amarel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: carotid artery stenosis, diabetes mellitus inadequate control, fall , hot flush, orthostatic hypotension. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TRIATEC, ALDACTONE, DETENSIEL, DEROXAT, TRINIPATCH, ZOCOR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
