Amarel side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on July 18, 2005. Male patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, essential hypertension and was treated with Amarel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acinetobacter infection, cholestasis, confusional state, duodenal stenosis, enterococcal sepsis, gastrointestinal disorder, klebsiella infection, metabolic acidosis, multi-organ failure. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NISIS, TENORMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 09/01/2005.
