Amarel side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Sept 30, 2005. Male patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, hyperuricaemia, essential hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia and was treated with Amarel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, haemoglobin decreased, hepatitis , jaundice , metabolic acidosis, renal failure. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ALLOPURINOL, MEDIATENSYL, FUROSEMIDE, ACTOS, CRESTOR, KARDEGIC, ZOFENIL, LEGALON. Patient died on 03/24/2005.

Male patient, 62 years of age, weighting 264.6 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent, myalgia, myositis , gastric ulcer, hypertension and was treated with Amarel. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, haemodialysis, hypoglycaemia, multi-organ failure, necrotising fasciitis, respiratory distress, septic shock, streptococcal infection , thrombocytopenia. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOLIPRANE, OMEPRAZOLE, CREON, TRANDATE, UPFEN. Patient died on 04/19/2004.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anuria, depressed level of consciousness, erysipelas, haemodialysis, hypoglycaemia, multi-organ failure, necrotising fasciitis, respiratory distress, septic shock. Amarel dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOLIPRANE, OMEPRAZOLE, CREON, TRANDATE, UPFEN. Patient died on 04/19/2004.
