Amantadine side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on June 01, 2006. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 165.6 lb, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease What is  parkinson's disease and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, agitation, amnesia, delirium, dyspnoea, hallucination, psychomotor hyperactivity, somnolence. Amantadine dosage: 100 MG BID PO. During the same period patient was treated with ATIVAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with essential tremor, parkinsonism, schizophrenia and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysphagia, dyspnoea, myoclonus. Amantadine dosage: 100 MG, TID,. During the same period patient was treated with CLOZARIL, CELEXA, SEROQUEL, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, RAMIPRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
