Amantadine side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Dec 25, 2006. Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinsonism and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, cerebral infarction, coma, dementia , gait disturbance, lacunar infarction, myoclonus, pyrexia. Amantadine dosage: 300 MG, QD, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bedridden, cerebral infarction, coma, dementia , lacunar infarction, myoclonus, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, status epilepticus. Amantadine dosage: 300MG;QD;PO. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 56 years of age, weighting 167.3 lb, was diagnosed with fatigue, multiple sclerosis , tremor and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: condition aggravated, dementia , depression , hallucination, auditory, insomnia, psychotic disorder . Amantadine dosage: 100MG PO BID. During the same period patient was treated with GLATIROMER, ALENDRONATE, ARIPIPRAZOLE, BUPROPION, CALCIUM, CLONAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
