Amantadine Side Effects Report #5683538-9
Amantadine side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Mar 17, 2008. Male patient, 78 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, blood creatine increased, blood sodium increased, blood urea increased, delirium, pyrexia, serotonin syndrome. Amantadine dosage: 100 MG; QD. During the same period patient was treated with CARBIDOPA, LEVODOPA, ROPINIROLE, BENSERAZIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activities of daily living impaired, akinesia, anxiety , blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood pressure increased, blood sodium increased, cerebral atrophy, chills. Amantadine dosage: 300 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with BROMOCRIPTINE MESYLATE, DROXIDOPA, LEVODOPA, CARBIDOPA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Amantadine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on Aug 04, 2008. Female patient, 66 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Amantadine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, asthenia, blood sodium increased, inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, lethargy, muscular weakness, urine sodium decreased, weight decreased. Amantadine dosage: 100 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with ENTACAPONE, CARBIDOPA, CABERGOLINE. Patient recovered.
