Alteplase side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 03, 2008. Male patient, 49 years of age, weighting 330.7 lb, was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis  and was treated with Alteplase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain herniation, haemorrhage intracranial, pulmonary embolism . Alteplase dosage: 18MG OVER 12 HOURS IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN. Patient died on 10/17/2008.

Male patient, 49 years of age, weighting 350.5 lb, was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis  and was treated with Alteplase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain herniation, cerebral haemorrhage, haemorrhage intracranial, pulmonary embolism , refusal of treatment by relative. Alteplase dosage: 18MG OVER 12 HOURS INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN. Patient died on 10/17/2008.
