Alteplase side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from on June 13, 2005. Female patient, weighting 244.7 lb, was diagnosed with vena cava thrombosis and was treated with Alteplase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haematoma, haemorrhage intracranial. Alteplase dosage: 1MG PER HOUR INTRAVENOU. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, WARFARIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 86 years of age, weighting 194.7 lb, was diagnosed with ischaemic stroke and was treated with Alteplase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: apnoea, atrial fibrillation , blood pressure increased, brain oedema, disease progression, haemorrhage intracranial, haemorrhagic stroke, loss of consciousness, pneumonia aspiration. Alteplase dosage: 71.2 MG 1 TIME IV. During the same period patient was treated with AMITRIPTYLINE, LEVOXYL, NIFEDIPINE, AMBIEN, LASIX. Patient died on 04/25/2006.

Male patient, 82 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with embolic stroke and was treated with Alteplase. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemorrhage intracranial, hemiparesis, hemiplegia. Alteplase dosage: 15 ML /HOUR. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, LISINOPRIL, NPH INSULIN, REGULAR INSULIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain herniation, haemorrhage intracranial, pulmonary embolism . Alteplase dosage: 18MG OVER 12 HOURS IV DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN. Patient died on 10/17/2008.

Alteplase dosage: 18MG OVER 12 HOURS INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN. Patient died on 10/17/2008.
