Alendronate side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 24, 2006. Male patient, 84 years of age, weighting 136.7 lb, was diagnosed with osteoporosis  and was treated with Alendronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysphagia, oesophageal food impaction, oesophageal rupture, oesophageal stenosis, oesophagitis. Alendronate dosage: 70MG WEEKLY PO. During the same period patient was treated with ALBUTEROL SPIROS, ASPIRIN, CALCIUM CARBONATE, LANOXIN, FLUNISOLIDE, FORMOTEROL, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
