Alemtuzumab Side Effects Report #5773337-1
Alemtuzumab side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on June 09, 2008. Male patient, 62 years of age, was diagnosed with acute graft versus host disease, immunosuppression, infection prophylaxis and was treated with Alemtuzumab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute graft versus host disease, fungal infection , fungal sepsis, multi-organ failure, zygomycosis. Alemtuzumab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BASLIXIMAB, TACROLIMUS, SIROLIMUS, PREDNISOLONE, BOLUSED STEROIDS, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute graft versus host disease, fungal infection , fungal sepsis, multi-organ failure, renal failure, zygomycosis. Alemtuzumab dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with BASLIXIMAB, TACROLIMUS, SIROLIMUS, PREDNISOLONE, BOLUSED STEROIDS, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, ANTIBIOTICS. Patient died.

Alemtuzumab side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 22, 2006. Male patient, 54 years of age, was treated with Alemtuzumab. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, bacterial sepsis, blastomycosis, complications of transplanted liver, cytomegalovirus viraemia, decubitus ulcer, fungal sepsis, haemodialysis, infection in an immunocompromised host. Alemtuzumab dosage: 30 MG IV X 1 DOSE. During the same period patient was treated with MYCOPHENOLATE, DEXAMETHASONE, PREDNISONE, TRIMETHOPRIM, CLOTRIMAZOLE, VALGANCYCLOVIR, URSODIOL, OXYCODONE. Patient recovered.
