Albumin Side Effects Report #5341326-7
Albumin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on May 16, 2007. Male patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with colon cancer and was treated with Albumin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, dyspnoea, hyperhidrosis, hypotension, infusion related reaction, oxygen saturation decreased, renal failure acute, respiratory rate increased. Albumin dosage: 100 ML;1X;IV. During the same period patient was treated with BLOOD AND RELATED PRODUCTS. Patient died on 04/13/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hypotension, infusion related reaction. Albumin dosage: 50 ML; 1X; IV. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with TORADOL, BICARBONATE, HYDROMORPHONE, CEFAZOLIN. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, hypotension, infusion related reaction, post procedural complication, respiratory distress, tachycardia. Albumin dosage: 500 ML DAILY IV. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROMORPHONE, CIPRO, PROGRAF, BACTRIM, CELLCEPT, NYSTATIN. Patient recovered.
