Albenza side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Mar 16, 2006. Male patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with microsporidia infection and was treated with Albenza. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, pancytopenia, white blood cell count decreased. Albenza dosage: 400MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LEXIVA, EPIVIR, VALCYTE, MEGACE, FLAX SEED OIL, ALLEGRA, DIFLUCAN, NEURONTIN. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Albenza side effect was reported by a Physician from CANADA on July 04, 2005. Male patient, 65 years of age, weighting 176.0 lb, was diagnosed with echinococciasis and was treated with Albenza. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchopneumonia, diffuse alveolar damage, klebsiella sepsis, oesophageal varices haemorrhage, pancytopenia, septic shock. Albenza dosage: 400 MG/TWICE PER DAY/ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with SPIRONOLACTONE, METOPROLOL, TAMSULOSIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/01/2003.
