Adefovir side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Nov 02, 2005. Male patient, 61 years of age, was diagnosed with hepatitis b  and was treated with Adefovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hepatic cirrhosis, hepatitis b , hepatitis e antigen positive, oesophageal varices haemorrhage, viral infection . Adefovir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EPIVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: coagulopathy, hepatic failure, hepatitis b , hepatitis e antigen positive, osteomyelitis, renal failure, sepsis , viral infection . Adefovir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with EPIVIR. Patient died.
