Adefovir side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Jan 10, 2006. Male patient, 59 years of age, was diagnosed with hepatic cirrhosis and was treated with Adefovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, ascites, aspartate aminotransferase increased, oesophageal varices haemorrhage. Adefovir dosage: 10MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with ZEFIX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
