Acyclovir Side Effects Report #5872014-6
Acyclovir side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 04, 2008. Female patient, 74 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster and was treated with Acyclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, rash , rash pruritic, renal failure acute, vomiting. Acyclovir dosage: 400 MG QID PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster, acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Acyclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cd4 lymphocytes decreased, coma, disorientation, encephalitis , herpes zoster, rash , viral infection . Acyclovir dosage: 3 X 10 MG/KG/D. During the same period patient was treated with FLUDARABINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster, acute myeloid leukaemia and was treated with Acyclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cd4 lymphocytes decreased, coma, disorientation, encephalitis , herpes zoster, protein total increased, rash , viral infection . Acyclovir dosage: 3 X 10 MG /KG/D. During the same period patient was treated with FLUDARABINE, VARITECT, FOSCAVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
