Female patient, 18 years of age, weighting 149.9 lb, was diagnosed with overdose and was treated with Acetylcysteine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: erythema, infusion related reaction, respiratory distress, vomiting. Acetylcysteine dosage: 10200MG IV OVER 15 MINUTES 6800 MG IV OVER 4 H THEN 6800MG IV OVER 16 HOURS. Patient recovered.
