Acetylcysteine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 17, 2007. Male patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with overdose and was treated with Acetylcysteine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, agitation, alanine aminotransferase increased, confusional state, depressed level of consciousness, intentional overdose, lactic acidosis, multi-organ failure. Acetylcysteine dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
