Female patient, 56 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Acarbose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain
, acute respiratory distress syndrome, hyperthermia, inflammation, lactic acidosis, mechanical ventilation, oedema, pyrexia, renal failure. Acarbose dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with STAGID, DIAMICRON, FOSINOPRIL AND HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ATHYMIL, LEXOMIL, PREVISCAN. Patient was hospitalized.
