Acarbose side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Sept 29, 2005. Male patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent and was treated with Acarbose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood glucose increased, haematuria, hypertension, ketonuria, malaise, nephritis allergic, nephritis autoimmune, nephritis interstitial, proteinuria. Acarbose dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DAONIL, MEDIATOR, PRAVASTATIN, HYTACAND. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
