Acarbose side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Dec 16, 2008. Female patient, 88 years of age, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus, cerebrovascular accident, hypertension and was treated with Acarbose. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , hypoglycaemia. Acarbose dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HUMULIN N, PLAVIX, COAPROVEL, LERCAN, TRINITRINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, fall , hyperkalaemia, hyponatraemia, renal failure acute. Acarbose dosage: TOTAL DAILY DOSE: 300 MG UNIT DOSE: 100 MG. During the same period patient was treated with GLUCOPHAGE, LASIX, LESCOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , jaundice , subdural haematoma. Acarbose dosage: 50 MG, BID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ENTACAPONE, SINEMET, GLICLAZIDE, METFORMIN, BENZHEXOL. Patient died on 03/22/2005.
