Abraxane Side Effects Report #5750275-1
Abraxane side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on May 22, 2008. Male patient, 75 years of age, weighting 165.9 lb, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Abraxane. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, heart rate increased. Abraxane dosage: 78MG OVER 30MIN QWK IVPB. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, PERCOCET, ALLOPURINOL, ASPIRIN, CLARITIN, DIGOXIN, LOPRESSOR, ULTRAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Abraxane side effect was reported by a Health Professional from CANADA on Nov 11, 2008. Male patient, 63 years of age, was diagnosed with head and neck cancer  and was treated with Abraxane. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood sodium decreased, catheter related complication, diarrhoea, febrile neutropenia, haemoglobin decreased, heart rate increased, hypokalaemia, thrombocytopenia, venous thrombosis limb. Abraxane dosage: 118 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CISPLATIN, FLUOROURACIL, ACETAMINOPHEN, MOUTHWASH. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood albumin decreased, heart rate increased, mucosal inflammation, nausea , neuropathy peripheral, oedema peripheral, protein total decreased. Abraxane dosage: ONE DOSE (390 MG) PRIOR TO SAE. (Q 3 WKS), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with LEVAQUIN, PHENERGAN, ASPIRIN, ZOMETA. Patient recovered.

Abraxane dosage: CYCLE 9, 4 WEEKS (240 MG,EVERY 3 WEEKS/ CYCLE 9 EVERY 4 WEEKS), INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with HERCEPTIN, PRAVACHOL, AMBIEN, PERCOCET, PROMETHAZINE, CITALOPRAM HYDROBROMIDE, LOPRESSOR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, dysuria, heart rate increased, hepatic failure, mental status changes, oedema peripheral, oesophageal varices haemorrhage, pain in extremity, rash . Abraxane dosage: 244 MG -125 MG/M2- WEEKLY IV. Patient died on 08/24/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysuria, haemoglobin decreased, heart rate increased, hepatic failure, mental status changes, oedema peripheral, oesophageal varices haemorrhage, pain in extremity, platelet count abnormal. Abraxane dosage: 244 MG (125 MG/M2, WEEKLY - ONLY ONE DOSE GIVEN), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ZOMETA, DARVOCET, PRILOSEC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/24/2007.
