Abraxane Side Effects Report #5084304-8
Abraxane side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on Aug 01, 2006. Male patient, 68 years of age, weighting 198.0 lb, was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Abraxane. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aptyalism, constipation , decreased appetite, febrile neutropenia, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, hypokalaemia, hypomagnesaemia, platelet count decreased. Abraxane dosage: 2 DOSES (600 MG) INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CARBOPLATIN, AVASTIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood sodium decreased, catheter related complication, diarrhoea, febrile neutropenia, haemoglobin decreased, heart rate increased, hypokalaemia, thrombocytopenia, venous thrombosis limb. Abraxane dosage: 118 MG. During the same period patient was treated with CISPLATIN, FLUOROURACIL, ACETAMINOPHEN, MOUTHWASH. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Abraxane dosage: RECEIVED ONE DOSE/520 MG (260 MG/M2), INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with AVANDIA, AMARYL, COREG, PROCARDIA, METFORMIN, XALATAN, COLACE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/19/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia of malignant disease, arrhythmia supraventricular, bone pain, cardiac failure congestive, dehydration, febrile neutropenia, fluid overload, gallbladder polyp, gastrooesophageal reflux disease. Abraxane dosage: LAST DOSE PRIOT TO FIRST EVENT 28-APR 2006 (175 MG/M2, EVERY 3 WEEKS), INTRAVENOUS DRIP. During the same period patient was treated with PROCRIT, CYTOXAN, DOXORUBICIN, ASPIRIN, NEUPOGEN, LIPITOR, LORTAB. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/19/2006.
