Abelcet side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 12, 2005. Male patient, 52 years of age, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with mucormycosis, staphylococcal infection  and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, central line infection, renal impairment. Abelcet dosage: 380 MG; QD; IV. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, INSULIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 44 years of age, weighting 143.3 lb, was diagnosed with histoplasmosis and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, renal impairment. Abelcet dosage: 300 MG Q24H IV. During the same period patient was treated with ALBUTEROL, IPRATROPIUM BROMIDE, CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE, NEUPOGEN, METRONIDAZOLE, ATOVAQUONE, LEUCOVORIN, PYRIMETHAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, child .1 years of age, weighting 5.31 lb, was diagnosed with fungal sepsis and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: organ failure, renal failure acute, renal impairment, sepsis . Abelcet dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DOBUTAMINE, DOPAMINE, FUROSEMIDE, ALBUMIN, HYDROCORTISONE, DEXAMETHASONE, FENTANYL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/20/2007.

Male patient, 42 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with aspiration tracheal, fungal infection , cytomegalovirus infection  and was treated with Abelcet. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: renal impairment. Abelcet dosage: 400 MG;QD;IV. During the same period patient was treated with GANCICLOVIR, CRIXIVAN, ATIVAN, NEUMEGA, INSULIN, PROSTAT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
