Abacavir side effect was reported by a Physician from ZIMBABWE on Jan 14, 2008. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection What is  hiv infection and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain What is  abdominal pain, cough, dyspnoea, fatigue, malaise, nausea What is  nausea, pharyngitis, pharyngolaryngeal pain. Abacavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, NEVIRAPINE, ZIDOVUDINE, COTRIMOXAZOLE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection What is  hiv infection and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, neuralgic amyotrophy, pharyngitis bacterial. Abacavir dosage: 300 MG / TWICE A DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LOPINAVIR, LAMIVUDINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
