Abacavir side effect was reported by a Physician from ZIMBABWE on Jan 14, 2008. Male patient, child 9 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , cough, dyspnoea, fatigue, malaise, nausea , pharyngitis, pharyngolaryngeal pain. Abacavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LAMIVUDINE, NEVIRAPINE, ZIDOVUDINE, COTRIMOXAZOLE. Patient recovered.

Abacavir dosage: 600MG/300MG, QD, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ATAZANAVIR, RITONAVIR. Patient recovered.
