Abacavir side effect was reported by a Physician from UGANDA on July 16, 2007. Male patient, child 8 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, asthenia, cough, diarrhoea, fatigue, febrile neutropenia, headache , hyperlactacidaemia. Abacavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NEVIRAPINE, LAMIVUDINE, ZIDOVUDINE, COTRIM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
