Abacavir side effect was reported by a Physician from SPAIN on Jan 25, 2006. Male patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatinine increased, dermatitis exfoliative, malaise, multi-organ failure, platelet count decreased, pyrexia, rhabdomyolysis. Abacavir dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
