Abacavir side effect was reported by a Physician from UGANDA on Jan 24, 2005. Female patient, 44 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Abacavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood bilirubin increased, hepatotoxicity, toxoplasmosis. Abacavir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIDANOSINE, KALETRA, RIFAMPICIN, ISONIAZID, COTRIMOXAZOLE, AMPICILLIN, GENTAMICIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Abacavir dosage: 600MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with STAVUDINE, KALETRA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
