Started Forteo 7/09 and started…

Started Forteo 7/09 and started experiencing constipation almost immediately (was 67 at the time and never experienced this in my life). Spoke to Dr. and he recommended using mild lax. Continued Forteo for the two year period (constipation continued). It's now 2 1/2 months since end of treatment and I still have severe trouble. If I had known this would be the end result, I never would have started this crap.

Jensen Farms Includes IN, LA, and WI in Cantaloupe Recall Notification

horrible non-stop headaches! constant nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, vomited once in the morning after the first day of taking the medicine. Ugh, but it is getting rid of the UTI.

True Leaf Farms Expands Voluntary Recall of Bagged, Chopped Romaine

True Leaf Farms is expanding its voluntary recall of romaine to include 2,498 cartons of chopped or shredded romaine because of the potential of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The initial recalled product was shipped between September 12 and 13 to a retail food service distributor in Oregon who further distributed it to at least two additional states, Washington and Idaho

It’s called Red Man syndrome,…

It's called Red Man syndrome, and it is due to Vancomycin being infused to quickly. You're infusion rate should have been more carefully monitored. If they had just decreased your rate, instead of stopping it, you would have likely experienced the same reaction due to the vancomycin already being infused too quickly for 4 days. Sorry for your experience but you should know that it is likely not an allergic reaction to the drug in case your Doctor ever wants to put you back on vancomycin, the infusion rate should just be closely monitored.
